Yeah, “Thanks a bunch” would much more most likely be taken as sarcasm for us brits…so could easily have the other impact/be taken the wrong way…shames humbles discredits disgraces dishonors humiliates hisses jeers slanders maligns libels defames condemns denounces hoots ridicules damns censures mocks bad-mouths boos puts down slights repro
